Where fun & learning happen!
Do you know what a Conformation Clinic is? It’s where an expert comes in and evaluates a sample of goats for educational purposes. It is non-competitive. I think it’s just what this group needs after our show experience has left us hungry for more knowledge about conformation.
Guess what? Mile High Mini Milkers will be hosting a Conformation Clinic at Sonflower Ranch in Brighton on Sept 28th at 9 am! We are requesting disease testing (like the show), but tattoos and haircuts are not necessary. We will be evaluating Minis ONLY, as standard breeds already have plenty of opportunities for evaluation. However, standard breeders are allowed to attend without goats to learn more. The cost is $10 per family to help offset our expenses.
Now here’s the truly exciting part: Our presenter is Beverly Goldthwaite! Beverly has been perfecting her herd of Nubians for 40+ years. Her priorities have been udders, ease of milking, conformation, and temperament. She is widely known within ADGA; in the Nubian world, her name is synonymous with excellence. She has had many wins at the national level and is a credentialed ADGA judge. Beverly truly believes the goating community needs mid-sized dairy goats and is excited to help us with our goal of improving the Minis of Colorado. For more information about Beverly’s herd, please check out this link: http://goldthwaite-nubians.tripod.com. Stay tuned for more details about the clinic! We hope to see you there!
PS: Beverly has offered to do a Showmanship Clinic on the same day – those of you who attended our show recently know how desperately we need one!
